Defending the National Film & Sound Archive - From Today's Saturday Paper - 15 April 2017

Folks the National Film& Sound Archive has been without a CEO for three months and counting. The previous occupant sacked a quarter of the staff and closed down many of the NFSA's activities. The time for radical action began long ago but people can be too polite and trusting and let governments get away with treating institutions with contempt. The Saturday Paper has taken up the story. If you can't read it free then go buy a copy...
Budget cuts to the National Film and Sound Archive have left it struggling to complete critical restoration work and in need of new purpose.
