News has just arrived that Italian director Lina Wertmuller has died. You can read about it here in The Guardian.
Wertmuller was a living force of nature and her films have endured. Cinema Reborn was a partner with the Italian Cultural Institute in a seriously good and very well received season of Wertmuller's films at the Randwick Ritz earlier this year. Critics, scholars and cinephiles Jane Mills and Blythe Worthy did a whole host of work to get the show on the road, including arranging for speakers at each of the seven sessions.
