NOMINATIONS ANNOUNCED FOR 2016 FCCA AUSTRALIAN FILM AWARDS
FCCA (Film Critics Circle of Australia), the country’s foremost body of professional film critics and film journalists, are delighted to announce the nominations for their 2016 Australian Film Awards.
Leading the votes with nods in 10 categories is writer/director Simon Stone’s family drama, The Daughter, followed closely by Mel Gibson’s WWII epic, Hacksaw Ridge, which has attracted 9 nominations.
Other key contenders include Goldstone (8 nominations), Looking for Grace and Girl Asleep (6 nominations each) and Pawno (5 nominations).
Held annually for over 30 years, these prestigious Awards acknowledge and celebrate the high level of creativity and expertise within the Australian film industry and will be held on the evening of Tuesday 21st February 2017, at Paddington Woollahra RSL, 226 Oxford Street, Paddington.
