It's been re-assembled for a season at the Classic Cinemas Elsternwick from 14-17 October. All told ten screenings of nine feature films and five (Australian) short films will be the programme and the Cinema Reborn website has been edited to provide comprehensive program notes, session times, details of the restorations and links to bookings via the cinema website.
The major change is the inclusion of Charles Chauvel's Sons of Matthew. This film will be screened in a digital restoration prepared by the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia not previously screened in Melbourne. Sons of Matthew replaces Three in One which screened in the Sydney season on an archival 35mm print. The NFSA is currently preparing a digital restoration of the film.
