Advertisement - A shout out for the brilliant olive oil produced by Mt Bernard Olives

HOMEMOUNT BERNARD Olives | Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Co- Proprietor of Mount Bernard Olives, and sister-in-law, Deborah Whithear writes:

We've just received an email from the Australian Food Awards (ie. Melbourne Fine Foods) to say we've won a Gold medal for both our Picual and Frantoio and Bronze for Leccino.

The judges comments were:
PicualComplex strong green fruity aroma. Banana butter, bitter herb in the mouth. Excellent balance and very
big long lingering finish. Well made, fresh clean oil.

FrantoioVery complex well-made oil. Fresh olive fruity notes in the mouth with hints of apricot and vanilla.
Extremely well balanced and harmonious, and with a very long lingering finish.

LeccinoFresh aroma, pleasant mouthfeel. Good balance, nice oil.

And even better - the Picual was awarded Best in Class which in this show means best Extra Virgin Olive Oil. There were 89 entries so we're pretty chuffed.  If you want more details  go to RASV and enter - 'Olive oil' and press FIND.  The list is not in order of points achieved but entry number so you have to go to the end to see where our Picual starred!
